Hello
It’s lovely to meet you! I am the Director of Staff and Client Development at Empower and Thrive Behavioral Services, LLC. I provide direct therapy to children, adolescents and adults using a solution-focused, motivation driven approach, based on the foundational learning principles of behavior analysis and sensitive to human development across the lifespan.
My Story
I have found my passion in helping others to accomplish their goals, realize their potential, and find their own voice. It brings me joy to coach, support and see people develop skills that will help them thrive in life. Since 2005 I have been serving neurodiverse populations across the lifespan. As a behavior analyst and therapist, I have come to love learning about the science behind behavior, including the things that influence how we act, think or feel. It is my belief that this knowledge provides a valuable foundation for autonomy and greater quality of life. I enjoy taking complex scientific information and making it understandable and meaningful to those I support. My career “happy place” is found at the intersection of science and person-centered care. I want to help you thrive!
I am a neurodivergent person, and come from a neurodiverse family. I know first-hand about the
challenges that may arise when participating in communities that aren’t adequately set up to support
people with differing or complex needs. As a special needs parent, I have experience navigating systems as both a provider and recipient of services and supports for my child. I believe that these experiences have helped me to become a better clinician and a better community member.
When I am not serving clients, I enjoy spending time with my family and our cats. I love to go camping, cook, play games, collect stickers, read, draw, sing, knit, and crochet. I love nature, and spend a lot of my free time bird (and squirrel) watching. I am passionate about advocacy, acknowledging and mitigating biases (my own and others’), dismantling systems of oppression, and building systems that support vulnerable and marginalized people. I value diversity, inclusion, and belonging. I want to promote mental health awareness and self-care. I love people. If I could make a wish for the world, it would be for everyone to feel like they matter, belong, are special, and are deserving of care.
It is my goal to help you get the most out of life, and live meaningfully.
